Saraki bombs Abdullahi, says Nasarawa lawmaker ‘a compulsive liar’

Senate President Bukola Saraki has described the Senator representing Nasarawa west, Abdullahi Adamu, as a compulsive liar and an unreliable man, who will do or say anything to suit his situation at any point in time. Saraki was reacting to the claim by Abdullahi that the he once referred to Senator Dino Melaye as “clown” in a private chat with him. The senate president said Abdullahi has been peddling insults and lies about him, but, he has ignored him out of respect for his age. In a statement signed on his behalf by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu,  Saraki said: “I’ve deliberately ignored the antics of Senator Abdullahi Adamu, especially his constant media attack on me and the senate since the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) dusted his file on alleged case of corruption and, also, went ahead to arraign his son in court. Saraki Replies Buhari's Loyal Senator, Adamu: "You're Attacking Me To Save Yourself From EFCC"

Senate president Bukola Saraki has replied Senator Abdullahi Adamu (APC, Nasarawa West), describing the former governor of Nasarawa State as “a compulsive liar and an unreliable man who will do or say anything to suit his situation at any point in time.” Saraki was reacting to the claim by Adamu that he (Saraki) once referred to Senator Dino Melaye as a clown in a private chat with him (Adamu). - 3 INEC officials have been docked for alleged fraud - The EFCC alleged that the officials laundered the sum of N179.8million - The case has been adjourned the case until Aug. 6, for hearing of the bail applications The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday arraigned three Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials in Ogun before a Federal High Court, Lagos, over alleged laundering of N179.8 million. The EFCC arraigned Yemi Akinwonmi, Dickson Atiba and Ogunmodede Oladayo before Justice Sule Hassan on eight counts bordering on conspiracy, benefiting from crime proceeds, receiving cash sums without going through financial institutions and accepting cash exceeding amount authorised by the law. They were accused of receiving the said money from various commercial banks sometime in March 2015, in the build-up to the year’s General Elections, The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports. According to Vatti’s latest figures, the Chinese firm has made refunds — either in cash or gift cards –of more than 62 million yuan. And the cost to Vatti of the success of “Les Bleus” does not stop there, with a portion of refunds still outstanding. The total payout over the marketing stunt will amount to nearly $12m. Vatti, founded in 1992, promised before the World Cup to refund customers who bought their “Championship Package” of selected products if France lifted the trophy. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Palumbo Design claims they were hired to be the interior designer and project manager to oversee the complete cosmetic redesign of Mayweather’s newly-purchased Beverly Hills mansion. Palumbo says they held up their end of the deal by completing work on the home.
