Governor Ganduje's ex aide is with the DSS. The Department of State Security (DSS) has confirmed that Salihu Tanko-Yakasai, who suddenly disappeared after issuing social media comments critical of President Buhari, is in its custody. Yakasai had called on President Buhari to tender his resignation in the wake of a spate of kidnappings targeting school students. In a statement issued on Saturday, February 27, 2021, Peter Afunanya who is the DSS spokesperson, confirmed Yakasai's arrest. “ This is to confirm that Salihu Tanko-Yakasai is with the Department of State Services. He is being investigated over issues beyond the expression of opinions in the social media as wrongly alleged by sections of the public,” the statement reads. Governor Ganduje fired Yakasai from his position after his social media comments and arrest.

In a terse statement on Saturday evening, DSS spokesman Peter Afunanya said Tanko-Yakasai was under investigation for issues beyond his comments. “This is to confirm that Salihu Tanko-Yakasai is with the Department of State Services. “He is being investigated over issues beyond the expression of opinions in the social media as wrongly alleged by sections of the public,” the statement read. DSS is believed to have arrested Yakasai for calling for the resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari over the abduction of the students of the Government Girls’ Secondary School in Jangebe, Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The firearm was recovered from a 20-year-old suspect. The Police Command in Anambra says it has recovered one pump action rifle allegedly stolen from 3-3 Police Station during the #EndSARS protests in the state. The command's Public Relations Officer, CSP Haruna Mohammed , who disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday in Awka, said that the rifle was recovered from a 20-year-old suspect. He said that the suspect was arrested on February 21 at about 11:30 am, in collaboration with local vigilance group, at Nkwelle Ezunaka, near Onitsha, following an intelligence report. Mohammed said that six other armed robbery suspects were arrested in separate operations, where firearms and ammunitions were equally recovered from them. He said a 25-year-old man, who was arrested for allegedly stealing a Toyota Corolla 2005 model in Abuja, had been handed over to the FCT Police Command for further investigation. Officers are in the forest where the kidnapped victims are believed to have been taken to The Police Command in Zamfara says it has intensified aerial surveillance for the rescue of the 317 abducted students of Government Girls Science Secondary School, Jangebe in Talata Mafara Local Government area of Zamfara. One of the only complaints about the show is how short some of the episodes have been, with some of them having a run time of less than 30 minutes. Episode 8 was the longest episode of the series so far with a runtime of 47 minutes and a new report claims that the ninth and final episode will be the longest one of the series. ComicBook.com reports that the finale will click in right at 50 minutes, though that will include the credits. More details have been revealed about the safe recovery of Lady Gaga ‘s two dogs who were stolen earlier this week. As previously reported, the singer’s dog walker Ryan Fischer was attacked at gunpoint while walking her three beloved dogs in Hollywood.
