The governor directed the sacked commissioner to submit all government documents. Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers has sacked Dr Igbiks Tamuno, the state Commissioner for Environment. Wike announced the sack in a statement issued to newsmen by Mr Kelvin Ebiri , his Special Adviser on media, on Tuesday in Port Harcourt. Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a 24 years old female, Queen Jonathan, for alleged involvement in a Bitcoin scam in Oghara, Delta State. The spokesman of the commission, Wilson Uwujaren made this known in a statement on Tuesday. Uwujaren said the suspect was arrested on Friday by men from the Benin Zonal office of the commission. According to him, the suspect presented herself as one Sophia Rodriguez, an expert in Bitcoin, on Instagram, to defraud unsuspecting victims. President Buhari has ordered the service chiefs to “take out” bandits, kidnappers, and their sponsors. The President issued the directive during his meeting with the service chiefs at the presidential villa, Abuja, this morning, March 30. Briefing newsmen after the meeting, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Babagana Monguno, quoted the president as saying that the armed forces should be more proactive rather than reactionary. The legislative arm of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State, on Tuesday, impeached the council Chairman, Mr Oladotun Olakanle, over allegations of gross financial misappropriation. NAN reports that the motion for Olakanle’s impeachment was moved by the Majority Leader, Mr Kayode Opayemi, and seconded by the Chief Whip, Mr Adebayo Daudu. Following the motion, four out of the six members present voted in favour of the impeachment while two voted against. The house leader, Mr Adeseyi Lawal who read the resolution of the house, said that the impeached chairman was also guilty of false proclamation of projects. The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a traffic robber who has allegedly confessed to using a toy guy to intimidate his victims. The Commander of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi , announced on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 that Toheeb Isiaka was arrested on top of Iddo Bridge. The suspect was allegedly caught with a toy gun which he reportedly confessed he used to rob motorists of more than 20 phones in the past two weeks. "He confessed that once he pulled out his toy gun, motorists became jittery and immediately surrendered their valuables like phones, wallets, and jewelry willingly without any resistance or confrontation," a Police statement read.
