Justice League's Ray Fisher Makes New Claims About DC President, WarnerMedia Denies the Allegations

Justice League actor Ray Fisher is speaking out with more allegations about what happened in the investigation into his claims against director Joss Whedon.

The 33-year-old actor, who played Cyborg in the DC Comics movie, alleged that he was mistreated on set by Joss, who filled in as director when Zack Snyder had to step down due to a family tragedy.

An investigation into the claims was completed and Ray released a statement last year when that happened. His allegations were reexamined by fans and the media after several Buffy cast members spoke out against Joss.

In a new tweet on Saturday (February 27), Ray called out DC Films president Walter Hamada. He said, “Do ya’ll remember that time Walter Hamada and @wbpictures tried to destroy a Black man’s credibility, and publicly delegitimize a very serious investigation, with lies in the press?

He referred to the news that a new Superman movie will be written by a Black writer by adding, “But hey, Black Superman… A>E.”

WarnerMedia responded to the new tweet by saying, “Once again there are false statements being made about our executives and our company surrounding the recent Justice League investigation. As we have stated before, an extensive and thorough third-party investigation was conducted. Our executives, including Walter Hamada, fully cooperated, no evidence was found of any interference whatsoever, and Warner Bros. did not lie in the press. It’s time to stop saying otherwise and move forward productively.”

Deadline also has a statement from Katherine B. Forrest, the investigator who led the investigation into Ray‘s claims.

She said, “I am disappointed by continued public statements made suggesting that Walter Hamada in any way interfered with the Justice League investigation. He did not. I interviewed him extensively on more than one occasion and specifically interviewed him concerning his very limited interaction with Mr. Fisher. I found Mr. Hamada credible and forthcoming. I concluded that he did nothing that impeded or interfered with the investigation. To the contrary, the information that he provided was useful and advanced the investigation.”
