The Nigerian Senate has proclaimed the constitution of 69 standing committee chairmen and their deputies.
The Senate President, Dr Ahmad Lawan made the announcement briefly before the legislators went on annual recess on Tuesday, July 30, 2019.
He named the chairman of the Appropriation Committee and the deputy as Jubril Barau and Stella Odua respectively.
Adeola Olamilekan got Chairmanship of Finance Committee, and Gabriel Suswan, was named chairman of Committee on Power. Of 69 Standing Committees, while the Senate has adjourned till Sept. 24.
