Often times, music videos help the listeners put an interpretation to the song they’ve heard

2020 has seen an increase in the songs we’ve heard and not only in the number of songs, music videos have been on the rise too.

Having seen so many videos been done to hundreds of singles, I’ve whittled it down to just three videos that perfectly interpreted the song.

Here they are:

1. Fireboy — Tattoo

The video for Tattoo sees Fireboy DML in thirst to fulfill some sexual desires. He’s lonely but when his girl drops by, the video sees him draw up to his girl for some sexual romping.

As he engages in the activity, his singing alerts other girls in the building who are curious about what’s going on.

No better narrative to this song.

2. Yemi Alade — Shekere

Yemi Alade fully incorporates her Mama Africa insignia into this video.

The clothes, dancers and places used all show forth the beauty of the African culture.

Together with the legend, Angelique Kidjo, their dancing and movements will make you watch the video for a second time

3. Davido – 1 Milli


Nobody thought the video will be adapted correctly. Nigerian culture was on point here as Davido and Chioma were serenaded in love.

Anyone would have expected the video to be a rinse and repeat studio shoot but credit has to go to the director for the proper execution of this video
