3:01 PM ET Washington Wizards star point guard John Wall returned Saturday against the Charlotte Hornets after missing two months with a knee injury. Wizards coach Scott Brooks told reporters Saturday that Wall likely won't have any "restrictions" in terms of playing time after the five-time All-Star went through a series of intense practices. Brooks also said Wall could end up playing both legs of Washington's remaining back-to-backs on the schedule. The Wizards visit the Chicago Bulls on Sunday after Saturday's home game against the Hornets. Wall had surgery on his left knee Jan. 31. He joined the Wizards last weekend for his first full-contact practice since the procedure. "We still have a chance to be in the playoffs," Brooks told reporters, according to The Washington Post. 3:43 PM ET Colorado Avalanche goalie Semyon Varlamov will miss the remainder of the season with a lower-body injury, the team announced Saturday. Varlamov was injured Friday when Chicago Blackhawks forward Tomas Jurco crashed into him late in the third period of Colorado's 5-0 win. Before he was hurt, the 29-year-old Russian had stopped all 30 shots he faced. Jonathan Bernier finished the game for the Avalanche. Varlamov ends the season with a 24-16 record with a 2.68 goals against average. The Avalanche also announced on Saturday that defenseman Erik Johnson has a fractured non-displaced patella and is out at least six weeks. He was scratched from Friday's game. 3:32 PM ET The Los Angeles Angels have placed second baseman Ian Kinsler on the 10-day disabled list with a groin injury. Kinsler made his season debut Friday after missing the Angels' Opening Day loss to the Oakland Athletics . The four-time All-Star also was slowed by the injury near the end of spring training. The Angels have not announced how long Kinsler, 35, will be sidelined. They are expected to recall infielder Nolan Fontana from the minors to replace Kinsler on the active roster. Zack Cozart , originally was slated as the Angels' starting third baseman this season, figures to see the bulk of the playing time at second base while Kinsler is sidelined.
