Zooey Deschanel is teaming up with the Purpose Project for a good cause!

The 39-year-old actress and sustainable food activist recently joined the organization and Capital One on a trip to Napa, Calif.

During the stay, Zooey got a first-hand look at at Long Meadow Ranch’s sustainable garden, which supports the restaurants in their community.

“It’s great that you have your restaurant and your garden right next to each other because when you are able to eat right next to where you grow, you understand food so much better,” Zooey explained.

The Purpose Project aims to engage people in conversation about their purposeful travel experiences and encourages others to travel with a purpose.
