Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (AKA Meghan Markle) are making headlines for allegedly setting a strict set of rules for their neighbors at Windsor – but is it true?

A royal spokesperson addressed the rumors with a statement given to Us Weekly on Saturday (July 28).

“The Duke and Duchess didn’t request this, didn’t know about it, and had nothing to do with the content or guidance offered,” the Buckingham Palace spokesman said.

Early reports suggested that the two put forward demands, including “don’t approach or instigate conversation if you see the Royal couple” and “say ‘Good Morning’ or some other pleasantry if they speak to you.”
