'Lord of the Flies' Will Get Female-Led Movie Directed by Luca Guadagnino

The classic novel Lord of the Flies will be turned into a new movie with a genderbending twist.

William Golding‘s book focuses on a group of young boys from a boarding school who are stranded on an island and turn into savages. The movie will follow a group of young girls in the same situation, according to THR.

Oscar-nominated filmmaker Luca Guadagnino is in talks to direct the film, which has a screenplay by Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, who were on the writing teams of Captain Marvel and Tomb Raider.

Luca is best known for directing movies like Call Me By Your Name and Suspiria.
