Olivia Rodrigo has a #1 album!
The 18-year-old singer-songwriter’s debut album, SOUR, has taken over the number one spot on Billboard’s 200 charts with 295,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S.
According to the site, SOUR‘s debut is the biggest week of 2021 for an album.
The previous title was held by Taylor Swift’s Fearless (Taylor’s Version), which earned 291,000 units just last monht.
But that’s not all. SOUR also had a huge streaming week with it being the second-largest in numbers ever for a non-R&B/hip-hop album, and second-biggest for an album of any genre by a female artist.

Ahead of the debut of SOUR, Olivia dropped three songs from the album, including “Driver’s License” and “Good 4 U”, which also hit #1 on the charts.
