Hwang Dong-hyuk is opening up about the financial success of Squid Game.

The 50-year-old director spoke to The Guardian about the global success of his hit survival Netflix series, and got candid about pay.

“I’m not that rich,” he said in the interview.

“But I do have enough. I have enough to put food on the table. And it’s not like Netflix is paying me a bonus,” he revealed.

“Netflix paid me according to the original contract.”
